Saturday's racing was a team and individual 20k time trial in the lush green hills of Central California. The course was an out and back; gradual climb on the way out, and a speedy descent with a noticable headwind on the way out. The men's A squad of Rob Carr, Alex Jarman, Adam Bickett and Colter Cederlof took to the course for an early 8:05 am start, planning to race a smoother and more aggressive time trial than their first showing at UCLA. They kept the pace up for the incline on the way out, with smooth rotations and good communication. The team navigated the turnaround, (which had no cone and was just painted on the pavement!!) and hurtled back to the finish, averaging 27.5 mph, taking 2nd with a time 16 seconds off the winning time of UC Davis.

A few hours later, the Tritons returned to the course, this time for the individual time trial. As rider Jake Jolly made his first race appearance of the season, returning from a knee injury, and D rider Josh Egbert joined the four riders from the TTT team to face the race of truth. The Tritons made a solid showing, with Adam Bickett riding his best-to-date TT, clocking in at 26.54 (27.4 mph) for 2nd place, 11 seconds off of 1st place, Alex Jarman taking 7th at 1.33 back, and the remaining As all in the top 20. Josh gave a solid ride, securing a 3rd in the Ds.

After a good night's sleep at the Motel 6, and an oversized diner breakfast that sat better in some Triton stomachs than others, the crew headed to the CPSLO campus for a wild, hilly, technical crit on Sunday morning. Bal Singh sprinted for a 3rd in the Ds, the podium his best result of the year. Then came the men's A event, which saw a small, but strong and aggressive field. The steep, narrow uphill and screaming downhill corners left no room for error, and Colter and Adam soon found themselves on the wrong end of a split in the pack. They would roll in for 15th and 18th, as the real action went up the road (and lapped them twice!). Alex and Rob maintained solid positionining in the main pack, withstanding relentless attacking over the hour of racing. Davis rider Tyler Dibble rolled off the front in the final laps for the win. Rob strung out the field for the last lap, setting up Alex for a fourth in the field sprint, giving him an awesome fifth overall, in what the Tritons agreed was one of the most challenging crits they had been in.
